The Architecture of Light

Visual Artist & Photographer

I am a multidisciplinary artist inspired by the beauty of nature, the stories of travel, and the unexpected ways art allows us to see the world. My creative journey has taken me from a career in engineering to fitness and the arts, a path shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a desire to live more creatively. Photography was one of my first ways of capturing the world around me, and my artistic practice has since expanded to include watercolor, acrylic painting, monotype, mixed-media collage, and handmade jewelry. My experiences with cancer and autoimmune disease have deepened my appreciation for the small wonders of everyday life: the changing light, the colors of a flower, the textures of nature, and the beauty found in imperfect things. Through my work, I bring together images, colors, and materials to express the wonder I find in the world and to create pieces that invite others to pause, look closer, and discover something of their own in the art. Each piece is an exploration of beauty, emotion, and the connections between nature, travel, and the human experience.

"Remember to slow down, remain curious, and find beauty in the world around you."

Artistic Philosophy: Fusion of Light

My art begins with curiosity, with the desire to notice what might otherwise go unseen. I am drawn to the details, colors, patterns, and textures of the natural world, as well as the impressions left by places, journeys, and everyday encounters. Whether working with photography, watercolor, acrylics, monotype, or mixed-media collage, I enjoy exploring the relationship between observation and imagination. I am particularly interested in combining different materials and visual elements to create work that feels personal, expressive, and sometimes unexpected. I value experimentation over perfection and am drawn to the beauty of irregularities, contrasts, and happy accidents. Life has taught me that beauty is not always found in extraordinary places or circumstances. Sometimes it emerges through change, uncertainty, and the simple act of paying attention.

Background & Technique

After a career in engineering, I followed my passion for fitness and the arts. Life's unexpected challenges have taught me to appreciate beauty in all its forms, from the smallest details in nature to the colors and textures that make each experience unique. I took several art classes in person, both in Romania and the US and also online. I am however a mostly self taught artist; my work spans photography, watercolor, acrylics, monotype and mixed-media collage.

Acquisitions & Representation

My works reside in private collections across the United States and Europe. Selected pieces, limited edition archival photographic prints, and bespoke commission opportunities are available through direct studio inquiry.
